The clip above is a song in progress that will be on my new album. It’s about a lonely gravedigger who wants to save the woman he loves before she dies. Click here for the story behind it.

This hook is bad to the bone! #2 is my personal choice. Can’t go wrong though, really. Unless you do. Then the world will ‘splode.

I like #2, as well. Especially how the chorus takes off as compared to the verse. Annnnd…how I stole a lick from Sufjan Stevens’ “All Delighted People” in the middle of the verse. Now you know. ‘Splode!

  2. DJ says:

Woops. That was for the other demos. This is one is also good.

  3. Paula Frederick says:

Justin, I really like this melody and lyrics … especially #2 version. The other two versions, I think, too much like rap music, but probably do not know the terminology exactly so don’t take offense with this message! Just the beat was not to my liking. Loved #2 where you had a good combination.
Go for it! Corinne and Kelly’s mom, Paula:)

Hi Paula! Good point about the “rap vibe”. 1 & 3 lean more towards an r&b melody. Great to hear from you! Keep the comments coming 🙂 I love to know what folks from the hometown think.
